We all remember our first job, right? Whether you were in high school or fresh out of college, a first job simply provides a foundation and teaches basic skills.

For Andrea Loth, founder and owner, her first job was so much more than that. It lit a fire that grew into an undeniable passion, inspiring her to create Gift Six.

At just 16 years old, Andrea worked at a family-owned toy store. Every toy that left the store was meticulously wrapped and after 3 years, Andrea had mastered her skills, and her passion for wrapping was born. The job at the toy store ended when Andrea went off to College at Bethel University (BU) in St. Paul, Minnesota. At BU, Andrea earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Art History and Advertising. Next, Andrea moved to San Francisco, California, to pursue a Masters Degree at the Academy of Art University. In the Spring of 2013, she graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree with a focus in Creative Strategy. After attaining her Masters Degree, Andrea moved home to Minneapolis and started working for an outdoor retail company, managing an e-commerce website, social media, SEO and market research.

Andrea has always enjoyed preparing distinctively wrapped packages. She learned how to wrap at a young age from her Mom, who she credits her "crafty" skills to. In fact, family members have been asking Andrea to wrap gifts for them most of her life. Growing up in a large family provided a ton of opportunities to refine her skills wrapping gifts for birthdays and holidays. Not to mention, it kept the creative fire smoldering throughout the years.

After several years brainstorming how she could pursue her lifelong passion as a true profession, Andrea came up with the idea of Gift Six and launched in 2016.  Since then. we've added more talented wrappers to our team and grown the business year-after-year. We’re excited to create charming and magical gifts for you—book your mobile appointment today or visit our store in Minneapolis!

Hot tea, her yellow lab, the lake, gardening, making maple syrup,  70's funk music, bee keeping, crafting & traveling

America is our greeter, mood-booster and chief friendliness officer. She is a 12 year old yellow lab, who seems to be aging in reverse. She still trains for marathons with her dad, loves swimming, laying in the sun, but nothing tops a boat ride. She loves honey crisp apples (yes, she knows if it's a honey crisp) watermelon, corn on the cob and popcorn.

She can usually be found laying at our wrappers feet while at appointments. America is not a great wrapper, she can't tie ribbons and cannot use a scissors, but she's still our number #1 employee!
